Dementia Friends
Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is an initiative that strives to challenge preconceptions and raise awareness of what it’s like to live with the condition. Our care agency is a registered Dementia Friend, meaning carers have had additional training to get a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live with the condition. This gives us greater insight into the type of support people living with dementia need.
Dementia care includes:
Long-term, short-term or respite care
Specially trained support workers
Stimulating memory activities
Respect and dignity at all times
